Year 1 visit from Rev. Anne

In Year 1, we have been learning about Christianity, so Rev. Anne Gilbert came to answer questions about her beliefs. They asked her about prayer, her favourite parable, how long she had been in Rochdale and how old is the Bible.

Some Reception children and parents/carers taking part in the Rochdale Family Learning course enjoyed a nature walk to Falinge Park. We spotted signs of autumn and had fun collecting leaves. We saw the ducks on the pond and visited the bandstand.

The parents of children in Year 1 were watching a 'live' Phonics lesson, led by Mrs Bland. The parents watched how the Little Wandle lesson is taught and then went off to complete some different activities.

As the snow fell in mid-November, the children in Reception went outside and made snowballs and snow people. They loved feeling the snow, even through they said it was 'freezing'!
